These images are reflections of life in America. Necessarily, they address many complex issues, even if indirectly. They’re about borders, relationships, dependencies, individuality, and how we rely on one another. They’re about love, and hate, and fear. The power of the images comes from the fact that they exist in a near mythological register, full of ambiguity and otherworldliness; telling puzzling stories heavily flavored by being alive in 2020.
